LAURA WRIGHT
Laura is the barn and office manager of Freedom Farm. She grew up in Gloucester, Virginia, and began riding with Peg at age 13. Laura began working with Peg after graduating from college with a degree in business. She currently lives in Smithfield with her husband, Jimmy, and their three year old son, Parker.
ADRIENNE SMITH
Adrienne has joined the full-time Freedom Farm team! Her father bought her a pony when she was two weeks old, and she started riding lessons at the age of five, Adrienne lives in Carrollton, Virginia, and has a B.S. in Psychology from Old Dominion University, and is currently working on her MBA.
About Me
Peg is the owner and head trainer of Freedom Farm. She was born and raised in Newport News, Virginia, and began riding at the age of 11. Peg has been a top professional on the East Coast for more than 30 years. She and her students have won numerous awards, including top ribbons at Devon and Pennsylvania National, along with many wins and tri-colors at Washington International. For two consecutive years Peg was trainer of the NAL Hunter Finals Champion at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show, first in the 2013 Children's Finals, followed by the 2014 Adult Finals. Peg currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Horse Shows Association, and is a USEF licensed "R" hunter and equitation judge. Peg is a previous recipient of the Virginia Horseperson of the Year award, and a three-time winner of the Grand Champion Hunter of Virginia title.
